Happy November to all our Town Duck friends!

A mild November day means especially great outdoor time, although daylight closing in earlier certainly makes for cozier evenings. We hope Fall has found its routine for you one of happiness and health. Here at The Town Duck, ours has been of the holidays, and it literally occurred overnight. Anne was sure we were a little ahead of schedule, but lo and behold, an Instagram photo from last season told us otherwise! Christmas delights of the culinary sort were on the floor mid-October last year. Not to worry, we’ve made up for it. So, grab a pair of hip Izipizi eyeglasses, and make your list!

Enter stage right of the shop and there is the holy grail of holiday treats--lebkuchen, pfeffernüsse, marzipan, stollen, Mozart Kugeln, Asbach chocolate liqueurs, Jamaican rum cake, macarons, Walker’s shortbreads, Glenfiddich Fruit Pudding, meringues, chocolates from Louis Sherry, Ritter and Butler, French Jordan almonds, cordials, Silly Cow hot chocolate…there is simply too much to list here. And it is moving right out the door. I am told there may be another shipment if a container comes together, but holding my breath here. If there is a traditional treat you simply can’t live without, grab it now.

While on the pantry note, Hubs Chocolate Peanuts are in! We have a great selection of jams, sauces, and chutneys perfect for holiday entertaining. Pomegranate and Furbish Studio linens set your table up with great block print patterns and colors.

Kits for gingerbread men and houses line up right next to a selection of Advent calendars, paper products, cocktail napkins, guest towels, fun paper placemats, place cards and runners to start off Thanksgiving and holiday get togethers. The assorted fun and festive reusable cups and paper placemats are perfect hostess gifts. OH! And the party crackers are HERE. Don’t need any explanation there.

Take advantage of all the new stationary, notepads, holiday cards and sweet ways to stay on top of your lists and in touch with those you love. Our baby section has you covered for gifting the sweet littles in your life.

Everyone’s favorite kitchen towels from Flour Sack and Garnier-Thiebaut are in—can’t think of a better grab and go than one of these and a bottle of wine tucked inside. Seda France Candles (with a special HOLIDAY scent) and Tatine pair nicely with a special JM Piers matchbox (if you haven’t seen in shop, come take a look—so many new patterns). His trays are pretty grand, too, and they are here.

Campo di Fiori planters are lined up alongside Pigeon & Poodle frames (or art if you see it like I do), whimsical Piecework Puzzles (Oy, to the World!), gorgeous glassware and olive wood serving pieces from Scents & Feel, Sabre utensils, John Robshaw quilts and Laura Park pillows…

Lovely ladies nightwear from French-based Scarlette, whimsical Printfresh and Jaye’s Studio, and classic Jacaranda and Handprint paired with a box of Rancé soap, rounds out a beautiful gift. Scarves from Moismont and handbags from Meanwhile Back on the Farm (yes, a new shipment of LEATHER just arrived), super chic jewelry from local designers Josine Hitchcock and Susan Tulu Bounds are all sure to dress up your day. Darling beaded bracelets and necklaces from Daily Candy sweeten up wrists for children and parents alike (have you seen the Mama + Daughter?)

I did not forget the wine! Look for a Thanksgiving line-up in the week to come. You may have heard already, but champagne is in short supply across the board. My advice is to stock up now to get you through New Year’s…I doubt it will go to waste :-)

We plan to turn out our signature gift baskets this season as well. Please order early….given our short staff, there will be a deadline (TBD in near future) to order. We are happy to help you select and curate what we think is a foolproof gift.

This was a mere HIGHLIGHT of a roundup, my friends. Not enough room (or time!) to list all that we think is pretty exciting and bright at The Town Duck. Don’t take my word for it, stop in and say hello, stay to shop, and enjoy the Season with us.
